Derivative-Free Optimization With Proxy Models for Oil Production Platforms Sharing a Subsea Gas Network

The deployment of offshore platforms for the extraction oil and gas from subsea reservoirs presents unique challenges, particularly when multiple are connected by a network. In Santos basin, aim is to maximize production while maintaining safe sustainable levels CO2 content pressure in stream. To address these novel methodology has been proposed that uses boundary conditions coordinate use shared resources among platforms. This approach decouples optimization coordination resources, allowing more efficient effective operation oilfield. addition this methodology, fast accurate proxy model developed pipeline networks. allows flow through network, taking into account physical operational constraints system. experiments, tandem with derivative-free algorithms resulted an average error less than 5% calculations, processing time was over up 1000 times faster phenomenological simulator. These results demonstrate effectiveness efficiency optimizing
